BFWDC Welcomes New COO

With excitement, we announce our new Chief Operations Officer (COO) began his tenure today at the Benton-Franklin Workforce Development Council.


David Chavey-Reynaud comes to us from the Tri-Cities Development Council (TRIDEC), where he most recently held the position of Director of Business Retention and Expansion. David holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Central Washington University and a Master of Business Administration from Seattle University.


David has a background in creating and implementing economic development strategies. He is practiced in project facilitation across multiple entities, including municipalities, legislatures, local boards, and colleges. David is a leader. He has led several multi-organizational committees addressing issues and growth in various industries, economies, and workforce development. David has experience responding to Request for Information (RFI), this will translate well into Request for Proposal (RFP) development at the BFWDC. He also has assisted in the development of outreach plans, income statements, and financial modeling.

David has a passion for community development and service. Evident by the work he has done these past few months assisting local employers with over 800 applications for Coronavirus Pandemic related funding and by his volunteering as an instructor for Junior Achievement.


On a fun note, in his spare time, David enjoys; teaching Jazz music, skiing, board games, hang gliding, and his dog, Murphy.
