Are you ready to make a difference in our community? The Benton–Franklin Workforce Development Council (BFWDC) is on the lookout for a detail-oriented and collaborative Operations & Development Coordinator to join our dynamic Administrative team!

🌍 About Us: At BFWDC, we’re dedicated to elevating human potential and promoting a prosperous community. We serve as the backbone of the workforce development system in Benton and Franklin counties, and we're committed to supporting our diverse community.

🔍 Position Overview: As an Operations & Development Coordinator, you'll provide comprehensive operations support to executive leadership, coordinate Board operations, and contribute directly to fundraising efforts through grant research and proposals support. This unique role blends high-level administrative coordination with responsibilities in grant development, event planning, and community engagement, playing a key role in advancing BFWDC’s mission to strengthen workforce development in Benton and Franklin Counties.

💼 What We’re Looking For:

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, public relations, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an executive assistant, with demonstrated grant writing and event planning expertise.

  • Proficiency with office systems and procedures, as well as operation of standard office equipment

  • Must be computer literate with advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook), Adobe, DocuSign, and virtual conferencing (Teams/Zoom)

  • Professional written and verbal communication skills; experience in collaborating effectively in a team environment.

 

💰 Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay Range: $27.00 - $35.00/hour

  • Benefits: Comprehensive package including 100% paid medical, dental, and vision coverage, generous PTO (up to 280 hours annually), and a 10% 401K contribution after one year!

 

📅 Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM - 6 PM (Onsite)

 

📍 Location: Kennewick, WA (with occasional travel)

🌟 Join the Team as a Digital Literacy Resource Navigator! 🌟

The Benton-Franklin Workforce Development Council is proud to partner with Washington Service Corps and WorkSource Columbia Basin to offer an AmeriCorps member the opportunity to contribute to the meaningful work we do in our community.

WorkSource Columbia Basin serves individuals in Benton and Franklin counties by providing free support to help them prepare for and secure employment. Our services include job search assistance, workshops, computer access, and specialized support for individuals facing barriers to employment.

 

We are seeking an AmeriCorps member who will help customers build essential computer skills—such as using email, completing online forms, and conducting job searches—along with supporting a variety of job-readiness activities.
